Katie Anderson

Hip Hop Instructor

Katie began taking classes in tap, modern, jazz, and ballet at age 3, and while in high school, founded the Hip Hop dance program at the studio where she grew up.

She was an active member of Urbanknowlogy: the prestigious Hip Hop dance team at George Mason University, where she graduated with a B.A. in psychology and a minor in dance.  

After graduation, Katie went to New York city, where she continued studying dance at the world-renowned Broadway Dance Center for over a year and received the “Outstanding Performer Award” at the end of her tenure.

On the performance side, Katie appeared at various high profile venues and events, including the Summer Olympics ceremony in Sydney, numerous Disney World stage events and the televised Live at the Apollo program in which she was a part of a dancing duet, as well as in various music videos for music artist and Born 2 Dance’s Hip Hop instructor, Jason Cerda.

Katie joined the Born 2 Dance Studio faculty in 2011.
