Katherine Lopes

Hip Hop Instructor

Katherine is a current member of the area’s well-recognized dance company, Culture Shock DC.  

She has also served as the Artistic Director for Urbanknowlogy 101-- the premiere Hip Hop dance club at George Mason University, where she choreographed over 20 pieces and was invited to audition at America's Got Talent twice during her tenure.

On the performance side, Katherine has performed at the National Cherry Blossom Festival, Mason Madness and World of Dance-NY. She has also trained under "TP" Terrance Polite, who is now on tour with artist Kelly Rowland, as her lead choreographer. 

Katherine joined the Born 2 Dance Studio faculty in 2012.
