Abdul Al-Ali is the founder and director of Congabeat Dance Company of Washington, D.C. He has over a decade of experience in teaching, choreography and performance.
Abdul has been involved in the Salsa dance community since 1998, and became a member of the Salsa Fuego Dance Company in 1999. In 2003, he founded the Congabeat Dance Company and has been its creative director ever since.
He is known for his "Salsa-On-Two" dance style, and constantly draws on the Afro-Cuban roots of classic Mambo, infused with fiery modern Salsa.
