Glossary of Terms
-Prorated Session Fees:
Session fees are prorated to reflect the number of classes remaining in the session. So if you enroll in week 5 of the session, for example, an otherwise $150 class will show its session fees as $90; that's because you would only be paying for the remaining 6 weeks of the session (i.e. weeks 5 through 10) and not the first 4 weeks that you already missed.

-Drop-In:
Attending a single class without enrolling in the entire session. The fee ranges from $15 to $20 per Drop-In, depending on the length and type of class.

-Drop-In Policy:
Unless otherwise noted, Enrollment-Session classes accept Drop-Ins during the first 4 weeks only; thereafter students must enroll in the entire session in order to continue coming to class. On the other hand, Open-Session classes allow Drop-Ins at anytime.
Needless to say, it's always more economical to enroll in the entire session rather than paying for one Drop-In at a time (an average of $15 as. $20 in most cases.)

Enrollment Session:
Enrollment-Session classes require "enrollment" in the entire session within the first 4 weeks of the session
Students are also allowed to do Drop-Ins during those first 4 weeks before enrolling. After the 4th week, the class doesn't accept new enrollments or drop-ins.
Enrollment-Session Classes are noted as such on the Class Schedule, with the " ** " symbol. They typically include Belly Dance (Technique,) Belly Dance (Performance,) Hip Hop (Technique & Performance) Salsa, Bollywood (Performance), Persian Dance, Flamenco and a few others.

-Open Session:
Open-session classes are non-cumulative in nature.
While students can enroll in an entire session, they are also allowed to just "Drop In" and attend one class at a time for a fee of $15-$20.
Of course enrolling in the entire session is cheaper than just attending one drop-in at at time (averages out to $15 per class versus $20 for Drop-Ins.)
Also please note that many of our classes tend to fill up quickly, so enrolling in the entire session guarantees students a spot. Once enrolled in the entire session, students can make up any classes they miss by attending almost any other class on the schedule.
Open-Session Classes are noted on the Class Schedule with the " *" symbol.

Make-Up Policy:
Worried about missing class occasionally because of work schedule, travel plans or other occurences?
Worry not! We got you covered.
Our liberal Make Up policy allows you to:
-Make up any class you miss by attending any other class offered on our schedule!
-You can do the Make-Up "before" you even miss the class; simply in anticipation of missing it due to planned travel or other events.
-No prior authorization is required. All you need to do is to come to the front desk before the class starts and ask for a Make-Up Card.
Needless to say, all Make-Ups must be made within the same semester (e.g. Fall Session, Spring Session, etc.) and cannot roll over to future sessions.
With our Make-Up policy, your money never goes to waste when you enroll in a full session. It's always more economical (25% cheaper) and more convenient (don't have to wait in line) to enroll in a class than to just do Drop-Ins.
