In this class, students will learn the foundation of Flamenco, including core aspects such as foot-stomping and coordinated hand-clapping, as well as how to create an elegant balance of motion and energy to exude the type of passion in their dancing that is the hallmark of Flamenco!
Specifically, students will learn signature Flamenco moves, including Brazeos (Arm movements,) Sevillanas (Folk dance moves from the city of Sevilla,) Zapateos (foot stamping and tapping) and using Castanuelas (Castanets.)
No prior dance experience is required for this class.
This class is an Enrollment-Session, which means students must enroll in the entire session, within the first four weeks of the session. Drop-ins past the first four weeks are not permitted in order to allow enrolled students to enjoy the class without interruptions.

This class requires Flamenco-Beginner I or prior Flamenco dance experience as a prerequisite.
In this class, students will progress into more advanced Flamenco movements, including Brazeos (Arm movements) and Zapateos (foot stamping and tapping.)

Sevillanas is a fun and exciting dance that enlivens any party and is essential in the repertoire of any flamenco dancer and for all who just love the art of flamenco.
Sevillanas are danced in partners by children, teenagers and adults at nightclubs, parties, and most famously at the annual Feria de Abril in Sevilla.
Sevillanas are divided in four sections called “coplas”, and by the end of the session, participants will be able to dance all four coplas. This class is suitable for dancers of all levels and styles.
The use of Castanets is one of the most characteristic elements of Flamenco, and arguably, the most popular percussive component! For the aspiring Flamenco dancer, knowing how to play castanets is a must!
In this class, students will learn more techniques of playing Castanets, as well as building a repertoire of the most frequently used rhythmic patterns. Through a series of exercises, students will develop and improve their Castanets skills.
Students should bring their own castanets. Otherwise, the instructor will provide information on the best type and source of Castanets, which students can purchase on their own.
This class is designed specifically for toddlers ages 3-5.
It focuses on providing a fun and nurturing environment for kids, while teaching them various dance movements that include foot-stomping, hand-clapping and spinning, drawing from the art of Flamenco dancing, as well as Ballet.
This class is an Open-Session, which means students can enroll in this session at the shown costs or simply drop-in one class at a time for a cost of $20 without enrolling.
