Urban Burlesque—better known as "Girly Hip Hop" in Australia and "Nuvo-Burlesque" in Canada—is a sassy form of Jazz and cabaret dancing paired with the more feminine elements of Hip Hop.
The resulting outcome is an original dance style that is at once classy and sensual.
Class Description
This class will speak to the salacious and playful side of every woman. We’ll show you how to strip your inhibitions without having to strip your clothes! The focus will be on learning intricate seductive routines, which incorporate the grace of classic burlesque elegantly mixed with modern movements, giving us what looks like a music-video choreography (Pussycat Dolls videos come to mind.)
You will learn to move sexy and walk confidently in heels while dancing to club music. The techniques learned in this class are designed specifically to create a fun and inspiring atmosphere for every woman and encourage freedom of expression, strength, and empowerment while at the same time helping you get and stay in shape!
What to wear: Comfortable clothing. A pair of high heels is optional but strongly recommended.
